Frequently Asked Questions
Soulstice Spa Services
What is massage therapy good for? Can it help me?
Massage therapy relieves stress, eases muscle aches and pains and makes you feel wonderful. Regular bodywork will enhance your immune system, improve your sleep, lower anxiety, and promote health and well-being. Massage is good for nearly every body!
Is massage therapy good for everyone?
There are some chronic health conditions – such as cancer – that you should consult with your doctor before receiving spa services. If you currently have a special condition or illness, please let us know at the time you’re making your appointment and we can advise you. Massage therapy is wonderful during pregnancy, but please let us know when you are making your appointment so we can make sure you are paired with a practitioner trained in prenatal bodywork. We accept massage clients over the age of 16, only; clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.
How does your pricing work?
We are passionate about massage therapy and want everyone to experience the healthy practice of therapeutic massage. Everyone visiting Soulstice Spa receives their first massage for only $59!
We encourage you to visit us at least once per month to enjoy the many benefits of regular bodywork. Therefore, we offer a two-tiered pricing system – one for members and one for non-members. Member rates on all spa services are always lower; members also receive on-going discounts on products, special promotions and invitations to events.
Do I need to become a member to visit Soulstice Spa?
No, we welcome everyone! Non-Members are warmly welcomed to visit anytime at our Drop-In/Standard prices. However, we encourage you to explore if Membership might be right for you! It is by far the best way to experience all the wonderful benefits of massage therapy at an affordable price, starting at just $69 per month and includes one 50 minute massage per month.
Soulstice Spa Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for a 24-hour cancellation policy on all spa services. Late cancellations and no-shows may be billed up the full amount of the service if we are unable to re-book that time with another client.
Should I tip my massage therapist?
Gratuities are at your discretion; however tips are gratefully accepted by your practitioner in cash only. We are happy to make change and/or provide gratuity envelopes for you at the front desk as necessary.
When should I arrive? How should I prepare?
If it is your first visit, please arrive 10 minutes early so you can fill out our brief intake form. We have a large lot full of free, plentiful parking to make your visit as easy as possible. Please be on time for your appointment so you may feel relaxed and unrushed. Our appointments allow for changing time in your own room between appointments; you will always have complete privacy while getting dressed/undressed.
For the comfort of our guests, please turn your cell phone ringer off and keep conversations to a minimum during your session. Soulstice Spa is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings; please leave valuables at home.
What kind of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards as well as cash. Sorry, we do not accept nor bill for insurance, however we’re happy to provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company.
What makes Soulstice Spa™ products different from other skin care products? Can't I just use the products available at the supermarket?
Our high-performance products are carefully formulated to achieve superlative results. We select the most effective, scientifically advanced and beneficial ingredients to provide you with healthy, radiant skin. We use pure and natural ingredients whenever possible, gentle preservative systems, and limit the use of synthetics. Our products never contain mineral oil, sulfates, or synthetic fragrances. We employ essential oils for their powerful benefits toward healthy skin and, as a bonus, adore the subtle, natural fragrances they provide. By contrast, a single synthetic (artificial) fragrance may contain a cocktail of up to 200 chemicals! Synthetics are used in the vast majority of products because they are much less expensive to formulate; pure, natural ingredients cost more than synthetics, which is then reflected in the price of a product. Truly high quality, natural products may cost a bit more, but a little application goes a longer way in terms of effectiveness. Lastly, with every purchase you make with Soulstice Spa, a portion of the sale is passed along to vital non-profit organizations…Our goal is to help you look good, feel good, and do good!
I have sensitive skin. Can I safely use Soulstice Spa products?
You sure can! Our formulations are designed with sensitive skin in mind, tested and approved by dermatologists, and contain none of the usual, commonly used offenders. We avoid mineral oil, sulfates, harsh preservatives, and comedogenic ingredients whenever possible. The fresh, subtle scents contained in many Soulstice Spa products are derived from natural essential oils. If you have sensitive skin we do recommend doing a small patch test prior to use, as some people have a sensitivity to particular essential oils.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Always. We never use animal testing for any of our formulations. Our entire line is 100% vegan and contains no animal ingredients.
How long will it take to receive my products after I've ordered?
Depending on your location, it will typically take 4-5 business days from the date your order is processed to receive your shipment.
I have a spa or shop, and I'd love to offer Soulstice Spa products to my clients. Is this possible?
Yes, Soulstice Spa is available to select spas, boutiques and retailers in the United States. For information, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What are DBP, formaldehyde and toluene? Why should I avoid them in nail polish?
These three ingredients are very common in mainstream nail polish brands. DBP (dibutyl phthalate) has shown strong evidence of neurotoxicity and has been linked with reproductive impairment. It is banned for use in cosmetics in the EU. Formaldehyde is a preservative that has been linked to cancer and developmental disorders; it is occasionally found in nail polish treatments and hardeners. A probable carcinogen and neurotoxin, toluene (benzene) is a commonly found solvent in many nail polish and nail polish treatments. Soulstice Nail Colour is “3-Free” and does not contain these ingredients.
What are the ingredients in your nail polish?
Nail Colour Ingredients: Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Acrylates Copolymer, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Silica, Alumina, Benzophenone-1, Trimethylpentanediyl Dibenzoate
